Unplanned Budget Request Form

REFERENCE: St. Mary’s Financial Policies & Procedures, Section 6.3.9, “On occasion, it will be necessary to either increase funding for a budget-line-item or create a new budget-line-item to cover unexpected expenditure increases for the current year’s budget. Doing so requires a simple majority vote of the Bishop’s Committee. The motion needs to include the reason for the increase, the amount of the increase, and the source of the funds to be used. Example: The cost of a major repair which the Bishop’s Committee wants to address exceeded the remaining amount in the current year’s maintenance budget. A motion to increase the current year’s maintenance budget by an amount equal to the cost of the repair from capital savings must be passed.”
