Welcome to St. Mary’s in-the-Valley Episcopal Church

Whoever you are and wherever you find yourself on the journey of faith, you are welcome here. We strive to be God’s beloved community where all are heard, seen and valued just as they are. We fall short and are human, and we live into that too. We welcome people of all ethnic backgrounds, political persuasions, abilities, faith backgrounds, and housing statuses. We welcome those working on sobriety, those in recovery and those not working on sobriety or in recovery. We believe that God created each of us beautifully and wonderfully and we hope to share that love with each person.

St. Mary’s is an LGBTQIA2S+ affirming church.

What we believe

We believe Jesus lived and died and rose again to show us the way to abundant life in the here and now. We believe God calls us to love one another and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We believe we are here to help each other out and to be Christ for one another. We believe God’s love extends to all God’s children. We believe the sacraments make use of every day things such as bread, wine, and water, to help tell the story of God’s love within all that exists. We believe the liturgy, the weekly service, gives us an opportunity to experience God’s presence with us. We believe we have more to learn about God, and we open ourselves to that growth. We believe everyone is welcome at St. Mary’s in-the-Valley Episcopal Church!

About our Church

St Mary’s in-the-Valley is an Episcopal Church in Ramona, California, founded in 1947. Our worship is casual yet rooted in the ancient words of the earliest Christian traditions. Our music is folksy. Our people are real. Children, babies and dogs are most welcome. We celebrate diversity and we’re working on being more welcoming. We’re imperfect and we may disappoint you, but we invite you to come check us out anyway!

Worship with us every Sunday at 9:30am!

The mission of St. Mary’s is to inspire renewal, growth and wholeness.

The vision of St. Mary’s is to transform Ramona through radically inclusive love.

We strive to radically welcome all people as we follow Jesus Christ, a revolutionary. We hope our lives and actions speak louder than our words, and that we inspire others through our love. We believe Ramona can be a community that embraces diversity with love and is radically inclusive and just. For the prophets of our tradition, justice looks like every person having a place to live, food to eat, clothes to wear, and clean water to drink. We also believe every person needs to feel like they belong, add value, and are an important part of a community. We hope St. Mary’s can be that community for you. Please join us for worship on Sundays at 9:30am.
